As Airbnb.com has grown, prostitutes have reportedly been flocking to the popular short-term rental service. Why? Cheaper than a hotel room, more discreet, no security cameras. NYPost interviewed one such sex-worker:
“It’s more discreet and much cheaper than The Waldorf,” said the sex worker, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “Hotels have doormen and cameras. They ask questions. Apartments are usually buzz-in.”
Local publicist Jessica Penzari rented her place out in March, and was shocked to get a call from the police…as well as find “baby wipes and at least 10 condoms” at the apartment when she returned. *gag*
